MC/DC 2025 Previews

It's me. Hi! I'm the [content creator previewer this week], it's me.

Sorry, I didn't want a long intro, so I went with something Swift. But here I am joining in on all the MC/DC preview fun! If you haven't heard of MC/DC yet, it is a new Marvel Champions fan convention that is about to kick off its inaugural year next week from October 24 - October 26. While they're sold out for this year, you can find out about the convention and watch for future plans on their website: mcdc.fun! I've got a few fun previews to share for the con, but first I want to highlight the other content creators with previews.

There have been previews of a couple custom content modular sets for the convention featuring Doom and the Fantastic Four. The Fantastic Foes modular set mirrors the recent Trickster Magic set, featuring a few enthralled characters that will switch sides... once you knock them out of it, that is. I was supposed to close out the Fantastic Foes custom modular set, but here's the Thing...

I love this minion! He has a beefy 8 HP, Toughness to kick it off, and retaliate and stuns to punish you for attacking him... which you'll have to since he is a Guard! He will be joining the other enthralled Fantastic Four heroes, and just like the others, he has a defiant ally that will join your team.

Luckily his ally version is just as fantastic, giving you a minimum of 3 blocked attacks (tough, stun, and the final chump). The tough part will be using him up fully so he can be pulled back from the Victory display with the side scheme. You may have seen this on the other previews, but here it is again.

With all of the set previewed, we can show the Fantastic Foes modular set in it's entirety. A fantastic modular set perfect for using anywhere or swapping in place of Trickster Magic.

Alt-Art Cards

But that's not all! Alt-arts are one of my favorite things at these community events. At MC/DC all the attendees will be getting a small booster pack, featuring a random assortment of a few of the available alt-arts. Boomguy from Winning Hand podcast and Corbintm from the community discord made similar packs for Con of Heroes. Ripping the packs and trading cards to get the ones I wanted was so much fun.

I get to showcase two cards that will be showing up in some of the booster packs at MC/DC: The Night Nurse and Sidekick. Both of these look amazing, and I know I will be looking to trade into them. I could always use a second copy of both.

Packing

Finally, in case you missed it, the packing list for MC/DC has been posted and mailed. I've reproduced it below, but the important part is ensuring that you have Hela, Enchantress, and God of Lies. Everything else is essentially optional or personal preference!

The core MC/DC scheduled content requires one person per game to have:

• Enchantress (Trickster Takeover)

• Hela (Mad Titan's Shadow)

• Loki (Trickster Takeover)

• One favored scenario, preferably a Civil War leader

• Standard/Expert as needed

• At least one of:

  • Legions of Hel

  • Enchantress

  • Frost Giants

  • Fantasy

In addition, some of the optional content & challenge cards need:

Villains 

• The Hood

• Red Skull

• Crossbones

• At least one of:

  • Rhino

  • Thanos

  • Venom

  • Juggernaut

  • Master Mold

  • Dark Beast

Modular & Nemesis Sets 

• Standard PvP

• Standard I & Expert I

Conclusion

I am absolutely jazzed to be attending MC/DC this month. I love cons. As a side note, the contest for the alt-arts I gave away at Con of Heroes has concluded. I sent out emails to the winners, and the first batch of prizes will go out this week to those who have responded. Check your spam folder if you entered, just in case!
